Art Teacher & Senior Advisor Email Phone: 715.275.3225 ext 2400 I started teaching in Elcho back in 1988 as my first job out of college (UW-Stout, 1985) and I quickly learned that in our small school it never ends. I find my days engulfed in exploration and discovery, creating, making messes and finding solutions.
When I'm not teaching, I can generally be found helping students with a myriad of special projects and events, often including Homecoming, Prom, Drama, classroom projects, or sometimes I just find myself quietly painting a mural somewhere in the school.
In my spare time (yeah, that's an ironic phrase for me), my husband and I find ourselves involved in sled dog racing and caring for our amazing Siberian Huskies. When I can squeeze in the time, I enjoy drawing, throwing ceramics, photography and doing tatting.
As a teacher and as an artist, my personal and professional goal is to help our youth experience life through the world of art and then stand back to watch as that creativity leads to self-discovery. That’s when I know all is good in the art room.
