  I have been a Social Studies teacher at Elcho School District since graduating college from UWSP in 1983. At one time, I was a substitute teacher at Rhinelander, Three Lakes, Crandon and Elcho School Districts. I came to Elcho, as a full-time teacher in 1985. Prior, I was a longterm substitute in January of 1984. Over the past forty plus, years at Elcho, I have advanced my education by taking course work from more than 15 universities, accumulating well over 250 post graduate credits and receiving my Master's degree and Specialist certification. The one thing that such time in education has taught me is: It's not where our students are at, but where we can get them too.  I was in search of "the Golden Child," the one student for whom I also taught their parent(s) and grandparent(s), but that person is now a senior and soon to graduate.
